On the walk through narrow cobblestone streets, the maestro pauses to admire the weathered façade of his quartiere.

Laid out before him, Giacomo carefully selects the stone blocks for the Lucca shades he will then carve.
11.30 P.M.
La merenda’ consists of a golden slice of crostata alla marmellata and a dark espresso from his favorite local osteria.

2.00 P.M.
After pranzo, Giacomo returns to the workshop.
Its antique wooden door and sunworn walls whisper stories from Settecento.
4.00 P.M.
The afternoon mormora as he assembles the final curves of the Lucca shade.


6.00 P.M.
At dusk, he sets the shades aside, ready for the next artisan to weave them into a chandelier.
