The beauty is in the process.

One that has been cultivated since 1895.

THE
MAKING OF
DOMO

A classical interior with a rectangular black counter against a backdrop of wooden panels. A tall alabaster pendant light hanging above the counter.

Each alabaster shade is meticulously revealed through the unhurried, methodical art of our traditional Italian stone carving techniques.

Blocks are prepared for the hands of skilled master artisans who then meticulously turned each shade from the solid stone revealing a flawlessly pure-white translucency complemented by subtle brown accents.

Our alabaster undergoes millions of years of formation, recovered from underground quarries in Northern Italy,

an area renowned as the pinnacle of alabaster excellence.

The abundant natural deposits in the region are globally recognized for their exceptional qualities, including compactness, transparency, intricate veins, and exceptional hardness.

It's the very nature of the stone that shapes its pattern.

This intricate pattern is only revealed through the process

of carving away.

Impossible to predict, but a record of its journey.

Every alabaster shade is hand selected, curated for each

of our clients, insuring a beautiful assemblage unique to them.
