Sona Sconce in Verde and Brushed Brass

Tuscany has its own distinct glass tradition deeply rooted in craft, quieter than Murano's. It is rich in territory with the narrative of beauty coming from an honesty of the material, shaped by breath and touch alone. The Venetian masters were celebrated for taking glass far from its raw origins. Thin, luminous, elaborately decorated. Tuscan glass is heavier and more substantial than the gossamer thinness Murano is known for. There's a solidity.

Dating back to the 12th century, the first glass pieces of Tuscany were carafes, apothecary vessels and perfume bottles that supplied the Florentine market for centuries. Italian glass perfume bottles have a history through the Renaissance where glassmakers dominated, producing bottles for European courts that were as much of a collectible object as container.

Our collection of glass vessels invite a slower gaze and a more contemplative encounter. It encourages pause and close looking.

The elongated glass teardrop form recalls an antique apothecary vessel, the way an old perfume bottle holds its stopper.

The Sona collection is available in four glass colors: Fume (Smoke), Nero (Black), Verde (Green) and Burro (Off White) and three metal finishes. Our signature rich black patina, brushed brass and nickel. Custom finishes or finish matching are available by request.

The Sona glass sconces can stand alone but also lend themselves to being grouped together, serving as primary or secondary light sources.
