Prato Alabaster Sconce in Brushed Brass
Old world torchieres with a modern silhouette. The Prato sconce is composed of Italian alabaster shades, each skillfully turned by master artisans out of solid stone. Each shade floats between hand-finished brass rod armatures.
Much like marble, our alabaster undergoes millions of years of formation in the hills of Northern Italy and it's the very nature of the stone that shapes its pattern. This pattern is only revealed through a traditional hand-carving process that dates back to 1895.
Distinguished Italian sculptors like Michelangelo utilized alabaster to highlight the mineral’s translucent quality that emits a warm glow when illuminated.
The Prato sconces can stand alone or be grouped, serving as a primary or secondary light source over a down a hallway, flanking a fireplace or over a vanity.
The Prato collection is available in our rich black patina or brushed brass. Custom finishes or finish matching are available by request.
